For as long as I can remember, I've been making things.
And when I’m not making ’something‘, I’m usually thinking about it…what colors to combine, how best to start a new design, how to make a project better.
Even as a child I couldn't wait to give one of my ‘handmades’ to friends and family at Christmas and birthdays. It’s always an enjoyable challenge to come up with something new and different each year.

I also love writing and have shared many of my projects, techniques and experiences with art in over 50 published articles for a variety of national art/craft magazines.

I am a one woman small business - the sole designer, creator, purchaser, marketer, bookkeeper, and shipper.
Nature is my inspiration. I love to be outdoors and I love to garden.
My work is about growth and life. I create pieces that reference Nature and preserve the beauty of real flowers, leaves, and other naturals in a contemporary way.
Nearly all of the flowers and greenery I use in my work are from my garden and I also enjoy growing a variety of flowers and herbs in containers. And there is that occasional interesting and different flower I see in a greenhouse or florist shop that I just have to experiment with!

Each flower that I grow, dry, and press is unique and has a beauty all its own...something I try to emphasize in my work. My goal is to ‘showcase’ the beauty of each flower or leaf.

Other inspirations are the ocean and the beach (my number one favorite place to be), music (I have to have music when I’m working), books and reading, art museums, and movies. Every Friday is ‘pizza and movie night’.
And I love to travel.
